I'm an incredibly positive person. I've had a pretty crazy life full of all sorts of things that would keep people better than me down. I didn't want to have a negative entry... but I think I need to vent a little bit.
Like many people, there are really great parts of my job... and there are some not so great parts... Recently, I asked for a raise. I had a great performance review and raised more money for 2010 than our team of 3 did in 2009. I received a little raise, not even half as much as I hoped or expected... I did however, receive a doubled workload and a market/territory that I'm completely unfamiliar with, a goal that's completely unattainable, and a community that is pretty unsupportive of our organization due to the many (great) causes they've already got going.
Certain things lately, have really upset me. Simple things really... like the fact that I've been fighting for an office with a window. Just a window - nothing big. There's an open office with a window, but instead of giving it to me, they're giving it to a new employee.
Maybe I'll just get a poster of the outside... or a really long periscope...
