The Master Plan.

For the last 5 or so years, I have been working in fundraising for two great organizations. The first organization had a single location, but a national operation, and my current organization has hundreds of locations, but I operate locally. Both have been great experiences!

My current employer has allowed me to work with a huge array of people and industries, and in conjunction with extensive research, I've figured out what my life's path should be. I'm going to be a Nurse Practitioner and work in primary care... at least that's my goal! Right now, I'm on the million year plan (or so it seems...).

Here's the plan for prerequisites:
Statistics: Spring 2010 (Grade: A!)
Anatomy & Physiology I: Summer 2010 (Grade: A!)
Anatomy & Physiology II: Fall 2010
Psychology: Fall 2010
Microbiology: Spring 2011
Human Growth & Development: Spring 2011
Human Nutrition: Summer 2011
Chemistry: Fall 2011

Actual Accelerated BSN Degree: Summer 2012 start. You have to have ALL of the prereqs finished before applying to all of the programs!

I am looking to apply to Accelerated programs to get my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. There are a few programs I'm looking at including UMass Boston (top choice for cost and convenience), Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.

After I receive my BSN, I hope to be able to work as a nurse full time, while continuing to pursue a Masters of Science in Nursing to work as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care...

That's the Master Plan...
